Classical education is thriving in Baldwin County
We’re dedicated to making space for that growth to continue. Thanks to our donor community, the Upper School campus has been completed. Our mission is now focused on the keystone of the Bayshore campus strategic plan: creating room for growth through the new gym.
Bayshore’s mission is to graduate students with a biblical worldview who will inspire, impact, and serve their communities. Our students will be critical thinkers who are academically and spiritually prepared for college and their life’s calling. They will be defenders of the Christian faith and able to exquisitely articulate that defense. They will be lovers of whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and virtuous.
Where the Vision Began
In 2002, a group of Christians on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay saw something missing in their children’s education. These families of Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church (ESPC) had a collective vision of what Christian education could be, to educate children with a Christian world view. The school has expanded and grown into a school with a clear purpose, “to glorify God by equipping students to fulfill their lifelong calling as we educate them with an academically excellent classical Christian curriculum.” Beginning with one Kindergarten class of 20 students, the school has grown to more than 540 students in grades Pre-K through 12th grade.
Classical Christian education is an educational category which establishes a biblical worldview (called Paideia) by incorporating ancient methods of student development. It includes the cultivation of the seven Christian Virtues, training student reasoning through the Trivium (Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric), and interacting with the historical Great Books.

Vision into reality
Our new Upper School campus
Through God’s provision, Bayshore’s new campus for grades 7-12 is a reality. Students are thriving here amid 46 prime acres off Highway 13. The property gives space for focus and security, while its high-visibility location serves as a beacon for our mission. Now more than ever, classical education is an integral part of Baldwin County’s communities—a message of faith and excellence in education as part of the local landscape.

Building the keystone
Key to our future growth is the new multi-purpose gym project, which frees space for future classroom growth in addition to providing critical space for athletics, worship opportunities, fine arts and community events.
The Need
While the growth of our student body is exciting and affirming, it also means we are projected to run out of room by the time our current grammar school students reach the upper school. Without realization of the gym project, we can’t open the classrooms needed for grades 7-12.
The new gym serves as a mission enabler, reallocating critical classroom space by converting existing gathering areas and athletic storage into new classrooms and instructional areas. This project furthers the school’s mission by providing seating for 1,000, opening opportunities for all-school assemblies and events, expanding elective offerings through an internal kitchen.
